At Golborne Community Primary School, we equip our children with the knowledge and skills to experiment and explore art media, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design inspired by a variety of artist’s work from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
Big Concepts: drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, printing and textiles; exploring and developing/work of other artists.
Elements of art: line, tone, texture, colour and pattern.
Exploring and Developing/Work of Other Artists is covered every term through the journey of the sketch books.

At Golborne Community Primary School, we have developed our own, bespoke sequenced and progressive curriculum for Art and Design, tailored specifically to meet the needs of our pupils. It is fully aligned with the National Curriculum and shaped by our ambitions and the key knowledge we believe to be the most essential.
