Spanish Curriculum Intent

Our Spanish curriculum aims to spark students’ interest in the Spanish language and culture, helping them develop a broader understanding of the world. We focus on building purposeful and conversational language skills that equip pupils to communicate confidently in real‑life situations, including travel and everyday interactions beyond the classroom.

Overview of Units

At Golborne Community Primary School, we have developed our own, bespoke sequenced and progressive curriculum for Spanish, tailored specifically to meet the needs of our pupils. It is fully aligned with the National Curriculum and shaped by our ambitions and the key knowledge we believe to be the most essential.
