In our Geography curriculum we strive to create opportunities which will inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. We aim to equip children with a diverse knowledge of physical and human features, locally, nationally and globally, underpinned by investigative skills.
Our curriculum role model is: Alexander Von Humboldt

At Golborne Community Primary School, we have developed our own, bespoke sequenced and progressive curriculum for Geography, tailored specifically to meet the needs of our pupils. It is fully aligned with the National Curriculum and shaped by our ambitions and the key knowledge we believe to be the most essential.
While the full curriculum documentation is not published online, it is available to review on request at the school.
These documents are correct as of September 2025. We continually review the finer details of the curriculum content to ensure it meets the needs of our pupils. As a result, these ongoing small changes may not be reflected in the above documents.
