Pupil Premium at Golborne Community Primary School

The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. This funding is allocated based on pupils who:

  • Have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years
  • Are in care or have been adopted
  • Have parents currently serving in the armed forces

Our Commitment and Approach

At Golborne Community Primary School, we have the highest expectations for all our children. We aim to ensure every pupil reaches their full academic and social potential by removing barriers to learning and providing the right level of challenge and support. Our rich and engaging curriculum is tailored to meet individual needs, helping pupils thrive now and into their future education and adult life.

Research shows that pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds may be more likely to underachieve. Pupil Premium Funding (PPF) helps us to put targeted strategies in place to close that gap.
